Coverage Duration

Glass Concrete Construction provides a limited warranty on all projects for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion.

Warranty Coverage

The following are covered under warranty:

  • Structural Integrity: Cracks exceeding 1/4 inch in width (hairline and shrinkage cracks are excluded).
  • Surface Durability: Significant spalling or scaling of the finished surface (excluding damage caused by salt or chemicals).
  • Workmanship: Correctable issues regarding improper slope or drainage caused by original installation errors.

Warranty Limits

The following are NOT covered under warranty:

  • Surface Appearance: Variations in color, shading, or texture (surface discoloration).
  • Physical Abuse: Damage resulting from heavy loads (beyond residential standards), high-impact force, or general neglect.
  • Environmental & Natural Occurrences: Damage caused by factors beyond the contractor’s control, such as flooding, severe storms, hydrostatic pressure, or soil erosion.
  • Weather & Chemical Exposure: Effects of freeze-thaw cycles, as well as damage from the application of salts or chemical deicers.
  • Ground Movement: Cracking or shifting due to settlement, subgrade instability, or expansive soils.
  • Inherent Concrete Characteristics: Minor cosmetic flaws including hairline surface cracks (crazing), pop-outs, or scaling.
  • Third-Party Intervention: Any alterations, additions, or damages caused by other contractors or outside parties.

Warranty coverage is contingent upon proper owner maintenance, including but not limited to: annual surface sealing, the exclusion of all deicing chemicals during the initial year of cure, and the preservation of positive drainage away from the slab.
